Research
My main area of research is cybercrime, especially human factors.
In the past several years, I've worked on projects including:
- Development of countermeasures to prevent phishing and the illegal trade in identity credentials (funded by the National Australia Bank, with Stephen McCombie)
- Testing perceptual discriminability for steganographically encoded images to evaluate visual identification of such material (with Dr. Frances Martin and Steffen Stripf)
- Designing and developing a steganographic transport protocol (with Bernd Troegeler)
- Developing statistical frameworks to evaluate the performance of biometric facial recogition systems (with Wai Han Ho and Associate Professor Dominic Verity)
- Developing techniques to generate cryptographic keys from biometric data (with Zhao Zeng)
- Developing techniques to prevent unauthorised, deterministic reconstruction of file fragments in secure, distributed systems (at the CSIRO)
